I’ve put together a collection of photos to give you a glimpse into my journey as a groomer, along with a little bit about me.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a few different salon settings, and one thing that never really sat right with me was how little interaction there sometimes was between groomers and pet parents. In some places, you don’t even meet the person working on your dog- which I always found a little strange.
As pet parents, we all just want to know our pets are safe, comfortable, and being cared for. I get that completely, because I’m the same way with my own pets- they’re basically my kids!
So it’s really important to me that you feel like you actually know who your pet is with. I never want it to feel like you’re just dropping them off with a stranger.

March 2017 - June 2017
It was about a year after high school when I realized the career path I originally had in mind just didn’t feel right anymore. I started asking myself what else was I drawn to… and the answer was easy. . . dogs!
Out of all the options, grooming stood out to me the most. I reached out to a local groomer who was willing to teach me, and I had such a positive experience that I felt I was on the right path pretty quickly.
June 2017 - November 2017
Fresh out of grooming school, I got my first job at another local salon. Unfortunately, this is where I started to question if grooming was really for me.
The energy around the dogs didn’t match what I had been taught. Coming out of my training, my main focus was taking things slow and keeping dogs safe while I built my skills. Speed comes with time- but I was expected to have it right away, which was very stressful.
On top of that, there was a lot of negativity directed toward me, both professionally and personally. It really took a toll on my confidence, and I found myself questioning my place in grooming almost every day.
Eventually, I was let go from that salon. While it was hard at the time, it ended up being a turning point- even though my confidence was definitely lowered.
January 2018 - July 2023
The next place I worked is where I give the most credit for my growth and experience.
For over five years, I worked at a kennel where I was a kennel attendant, assisted with daycare when needed, groomer, and helped manage the office- so I definitely kept busy, haha.
This is where I really learned how to multitask, gained hands-on experience with all kinds of dogs, and started building real connections with pet parents.
Even though it was a high-volume environment, the grooming setup was different from a traditional salon. I was able to work at my own pace, take my time, and really focus on improving my skills in a way that felt comfortable for me.
A lot of the dogs I groomed were boarding, so I was seeing them for multiple days- feeding them, caring for them, getting to know them. That’s where I really started to understand how important a more personal, one-on-one experience is, not just for the pets, but for their owners too.
July 2023 - September 2024
The next salon I worked at was my first true high-volume grooming salon.
This is where everything really started to come together—my speed, my confidence, and my eye for grooming. I was also surrounded by other talented groomers, which pushed me to grow even more and learn from the people around me.

At my final salon, I really started to see how much I had grown and what I was capable of.
At every place I worked, I was given more responsibility because of my professionalism, organization, and work ethic. But with that level of responsibility, there wasn’t much of a payoff.
That’s when I really started thinking about what I wanted for my future. If I could handle that much and practically run the day-to-day at times… maybe I could do this on my own.
And that’s where the idea started.

Now that you know me professionally. . .
. . . I give you a glimpse into my personal life
When I’m not grooming pups, I’m usually spending my free time with my pets. I have one dog (Odie) and one cat (Miso), and of course I have a million nicknames for both of them—they’re my sons 💚
Human-wise, my boyfriend is my favorite person to spend my free time with—he’s my best friend 🥰
I love being around people who have a similar sense of humor as me—it’s such a serotonin boost. I’m definitely someone who needs a balance though, because I really value my alone time to recharge my social battery (that’s the introvert in me).
I also love going to concerts and horror cons!
I’ve always been interested in mental health and psychology, so I like reading about it in my free time. I’m also really into old horror movies (especially from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s), drawing, and I’ve been teaching myself how to play bass.
My music taste is kind of all over the place, but early 2000s pop punk has a special place in my heart. I’m also a big seafood/sushi person.
Fall is my favorite time of year, and probably not surprisingly, Halloween is my favorite holiday! I’m also really into reality TV and true crime documentaries.
Now that you know a little more about me, I hope it makes things feel a little more comfortable knowing your pet is in my care. I really do love what I do, and it’s important to me that you can trust the person your pet is with. ☺️🐾
